let's face it, notes can be a really interesting way to pass the time. especially if you're in a particularly boring class. of course, there are other reasons one might write a note. maybe they're a secret admirer, or maybe they're just mute. whatever the reason, all notes are to be written here.

welcome to the home of notorious narcissa, san fran's own gossip blogger extraordinaire. there's not much that gets past her ever searching eyes. and she won't hesitate to write about you for the world to see. worse yet, you have to watch out for that smear wall. who knows who could be writing those terrible things about you? narcissa certainly doesn't. but she doesn't care, either. as long as she gets her scoop. don't say you weren't warned.

golden gate park is vast and beautiful. within its thousand-plus acres are gardens, lakes, bridal and walking paths, strybing arboretum and botanical gardens, it also contains the famous, tranquil japanese tea garden. however, it is not someplace you want to go at night unless you fancy the homeless trying to steal your things.

the city’s most popular destination has to be fisherman’s wharf. classic restaurants such as bubba gump’s and shops like ghiradelli chocolate are frequently hit for dates, family visits, or just someplace to go and have fun with your friends. right in the center is a giant, two story carousel, certainly a place to go just take a trip back to when you were young. The wharf is definitely a good place to go on a sunny san francisco day.

a dragon-draped archway at the intersection of bush and grant streets announces the entrance to chinatown in san francisco. streets teem with fish and vegetable stalls, herbal shops, temples, and eateries. (lichee garden, hunan home's, and r&g restaurants all rate high with diners.) it is certainly a place to go if your are in the mood for some kick ass asian cuisine, or you just feel the need for some culture shock.

stroll on over to san francisco's italian neighborhood, north beach, for a snack or just a taste of something new. the espresso is strong and tasty, the cannoli are sweet at caffe trieste, and century-old molinari's deli has some of the most tasty food around.

there are several neighborhoods in san francisco, some in downtown, some north of golden gate park, some south. there is always an element of anxiety that comes with living in the city, but break ins at any of these neighborhoods are unlikely.
